School Day & Uniform Expectations
School Day
The school gates open at 8.50am and children in Years 1 to 6 must be in their classes promptly for 8.55am registration. The school day for Years 1 to 6 finishes at 3.25pm. Children in Reception (after their three-week settling in period) should register by 8.55am and pick-up time is 3.20pm. The total time per week is 32.5 hours (less 25 minutes for Reception).
School Uniform

- Reception - red
- Year 1 - orange
- Year 2 - yellow
- Year 3 - green
- Year 4 - light blue
- Year 5 - navy blue
- Year 6 – purple
These are available to buy at the start of the academic year and cost £5.00. Obviously, the children can wear these whenever they want to, but we do ask that they wear them for school trips (makes them easier to find!) and for class photos or as requested. Our Parent Staff Association (PSA) often sell second-hand school t-shirts at summer and winter fairs.
Although we are a no-uniform school we do ask that children wear appropriate clothing to school, for example, no cropped tops or tops with thin straps, no t-shirts with political logos, sensible footwear - no flipflops and only sandals with ankle support and covered toes. If in doubt do please ask.
Jewellery should not be worn unless they are small stud earrings. Jewellery should not be worn for PE lessons.
Children should not wear make-up to school.
For PE we ask children to have a red polo top (such as shown above and which can be bought cheaply from supermarkets) and black or dark blue shorts/track suit bottoms with trainers. Studs/blades are not allowed in school and should not be worn on the premises under any circumstances.
